Melissa Berman has led Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors since January of 2001. Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is a nonprofit that offers planning, research and management services to help donors create thoughtful, effective philanthropy. RPA also offers an international charitable giving fund. In 2005, RPA advised on or facilitated more than $100 million in giving to more than 20 countries. A frequent speaker, Ms. Berman was profiled in the New York Times in March of 2004. Her ideas and views have also been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Financial Times, USA Today, Town & Country, The Boston Globe, and The Houston Chronicle. She has been interviewed on the Today Show, NPR, CNBC-TV, and CNNfn. She has written articles for the New York Times, Across the Board, The Miami Herald and other national publications. Ms. Berman is a director of City Harvest and Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors. She is a member of the national advisory panel for New Ventures in Philanthropy. She serves as a Judge for the Ron Brown Award for Corporate Citizenship, a presidential award. Ms. Berman holds a B.A. from Harvard University and a Ph.D. from Stanford University.
