Donna Hrinak is a Senior Director with Kissinger McLarty Associates in Washington, DC – a straegic advisory firm headed by former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and Tomas “Mack” McLarty III, formerly President Clinton’s Chief of Staff and later his Special Envoy for the Americas. Ms. Hrinak provides strategic advance to senior managment of multinational corporations operatingin complex global markets. She guides clients in international transactions, includign mergers and acquisitions, join vetnures and divestitures. Ms. Hrinak is also responsible for assessing risks and opportunitis of doing buisness in emerging markets to ensure clients anticipate and prepare for change. She also advances client interests by advocating before governments and in multinational negotiations. She has been in this role since 2005. From 2004 to 2005 she was a Senior Counselor for Trade, Public and Government Affairs with Stell Hector & Davis in Miami, Florida. From 1994 to 2004, Ms. Hrinak was the Ambassador of the United States to Brazil (2002-2004), Venezuela (2000-2002), Bolivia (1998-2000) and the Dominican Republic (1994-1997). Ms. Hrinak served as thepersonal representative of the Pesident to the hot country and as CEO of the US Embassy; she aced as chief architect of strategy to promote US interests in host country. Ms. Hrinak advocated successfully for US companies doing business inernationally; led the bilateral trade relationship toward a climate of business facilitation; oversaw operations budgets ofup to $40 million and program budgets of up to $200 million; conducted public diplomacy activities to win broad-based support for US positions and promote friendly media relations; protected the rights of US citizens abroad and management multinational staffs of up to 1300 people, including through high-threat situations. In 1994 Ms. Hrinak was the Coordinator of Policy for the Summerof the Americas (SOA). Other positions included Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Western Hempisphere Affairs (1991-1993), Deputy Chief of Mission for the US Embassy Honduras (1989-1991). She also held positions of increasing responsibility at six US Missions abroad and the Department of States from 1974-1989 and from 1981-1982 worked in the Office of Representative Patricia Schroeder, Congressional Fellowship, American Political Science Association. Ms. Hrinik received a BA from Michigan State University and attended the University of Notre Dame School of Law and The George Washington University.
