Garnett L. Keith

Chairman and CEO, Seabridge Investment Advisors

Garnet Keith is currently Chairman & CEO of SeaBridge Investment Advisors, a registered investment advisor managing global portfolios for high net worth individual clients. From 1984 to 1996, Mr. Keith was the Vice Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of The Prudential Insurance Company of America, supervising the company’s global investment activities comprising roughly $250 billion at year end 1995. Between 1977 and 1984, Mr. Keith supervised Prudential’s Corporate Finance and Pension Asset Management activities. As Chief Investment Officer, Mr. Keith was responsible for Prudential’s investment operations in nine foreign countries. Prior to joining Prudential, Mr. Keith lived in Columbus, Indiana, where he was Vice President and General Manager of Irwin Management Company, a private asset management company. In addition to managing assets for family clients, Irwin managed a partnership funded by a small number of European financial institutions. Mr. Keith is a Trustee of The Howard Hughes Medical Institute, a philanthropic endowment with assets of $15 billion at yearend 2005. Mr. Keith serves as the Chairman of HHMI’s Finance Committee, overseeing its investment programs. He is also Chairman of Whitecap Capital Company, a private investment company (CAPCO), that invests capital from insurance companies in privately held businesses. Mr. Keith serves on the Board of AEA Investors, a private equity investment company. In addition, Mr. Keith serves on the Board of Pan-Holding S.A., a Luxembourg mutual fund managed by Societe d’Analyses Economiques et Financieres (SAEF), Philippe Investment Management, an institutional money manager located in Paris and New York, and Komatsu Portfolio Advisors, (Tokyo). Mr. Keith also serves on the boards of two family investment companies: Park Agency, Inc. (New York) and Sterling Enterprises Limited (Hong Kong). Mr. Keith is a Board member of SuperValu, Inc., a major food retailer. Mr. Keith holds Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Financial Consultant designations. He is a graduate of Georgia Tech and was inducted into the Georgia Tech Engineering Hall of Fame in 1997. Mr. Keith received an MBA, with distinction, from Harvard Business School.
