Lisa Lindblad

Lisa Lindblad, founder and president of Lisa Lindblad Travel Design (LLTD), has been working within the travel industry for over 25 years and has been traveling since her earliest years. Over the last four years, she has been voted one of America’s top five travel professionals by Travel & Leisure magazine. Her childhood travels culminated with an 8-month overland journey from London to Kenya when she was 20. After a year living in Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park and 18 months with the Maasai people in Kenya’s Maasai Mara, she went on to graduate from Columbia University with graduate degrees in Cultural Anthropology. She helped build the tour company, Lindblad Expeditions and, in 1997, founded LLTD to provide bespoke travel worldwide. Lindblad has edited and written five books as well as travel articles. She has been a travel consultant to American Express and to the Asian-based hotel company, AmanResorts. She has co-authored a series of photographic travel books for Rizzoli International Publications and an award-winning children’s science book for Hyperion Books.
