Paul Young

Paul Young is a founder and managing member of Conservation Forestry, LLC, the General Partner of the Fund. Mr. Young has spent over a decade working in various capacities for two of the leading Timber Investment Management Organizations in the country, the Hancock Timber Resource Group and Prudential Timber Investments, Inc. Prior to co-founding the General Partner, Paul was a Portfolio Manager responsible for over $250 million in timber assets with Prudential Timber Investments, Inc. In this capacity he was responsible for the overall management and portfolio performance of Prudential’s commingled timber funds. He also served as Director of Product Development where he was responsible for development and implementation of individually managed timber separate accounts and commingled timber investment accounts. He brings a broad array of timber investment skill and his overall knowledge of the institutional timber investment universe is extensive. He will focus his efforts in structuring investment vehicles, due diligence and analysis of potential deals, and overall oversight of timberland management. Paul has an BS in Marketing and Accounting from Boston College and an MBA from Babson College.
