Rob Webster

Managing Director & Co-Portfolio Manager, Pequot Capital Management, Inc.

Rob Webster joined Pequot Capital in 2001 and is a Managing Director and co-portfolio manager of the Pequot Special Opportunities Funds. Previously, Mr. Webster served as a Managing Director of Pacific Capital Group (“PCG”), a private merchant bank that founded Global Crossing, Ltd., and later concurrently served as a Senior Vice President of Global Crossing. At PCG, Mr. Webster served as the head of its private equity investment team that focused on investment opportunities in distressed and other special situations. At Global Crossing, Mr. Webster evaluated acquisition opportunities for distressed telecommunications assets. Prior to PCG, Mr. Webster served as the CEO of Livent Inc., a publicly traded entertainment company operating in Chapter 11, for which he concluded a sale to a strategic buyer 15 months after joining the company. Mr. Webster previously served as a Partner in both the M&A and Audit practices of KPMG, LLP, an international accounting/consulting firm, as well as a Partner in a boutique advisory firm specializing in forensic accounting/consulting for troubled companies. Mr. Webster graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) with a B.A. in Economics and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
