Richard Fitzburgh

Senior Vice President - Investments, RBC Wealth Management

Richard Fitzburgh is noted for his thorough full service approach with his clients, using both his expertise and the exceptional resources of RBC Wealth Management and their parent company Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) for money management, hedge funds and private equity investments, fixed income, ESOP’s, wealth management/estate planning, insurance and corporate retirement plans. His diversified approach to money management includes an emphasis on fixed income investments and he is especially involved in the municipal bond markets. In addition, he works extensively in all areas of the fixed income markets. Mr. Fitzburgh has had a twenty-five year career as a financial consultant to high net worth individuals and corporations. Prior to joining RBC Wealth Management, he worked for 15 years at UBS. Additionally, he worked at Prudential and EF Hutton. Fitzburgh works closely with his partners in Wealth Management, Joel Chase and Sam McGuire. He is currently a Senior Vice President – Financial Consultant at RBC Wealth Management, a wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Bank of Canada. He works closely with RBC’s International Division to assist his international clients in several areas such as asset protection trusts as well as sophisticated tax strategies. His practice includes extensive work with corporations to set up and invest 401K Plans, ESOPs, pension & profit sharing plans and defined benefit plans. He also assists clients with their lending needs, in particular with equity based lending. Additionally he does a great deal of work in the insurance arena, ranging from life insurance to long term care insurance. He takes a full service approach to working with his clients through the use of wealth management planning and estate planning, and works closely with many trust and estate attorneys. Mr. Fitzburgh also coordinates with some of the nation’s top museums, auction houses and galleries to provide forums and events for his clients that highlight distinguished art experts. Some of the more notable museums, galleries, and auction houses he has worked with include: the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA), the Beyeler Museum (Basel Switzerland),and the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA in Chicago), as well as top auction houses including Sotheby’s, Christies and Bonhams, and major galleries including Acquavella and Richard Gray Gallery. He has also taken part in events at the Art Basel Fairs, Scope Fair and the Armory Show. In addition, Fitzburgh has recently joined the Board of the National Corporate Theater Fund. Through this organization, he will be able to offer clients many unique experiences in the theater.
