Daniel Baty

Daniel R. Baty is the founder and Chairman of Columbia Pacific.  Mr. Baty is also the founder and former chairman of Emeritus Corporation, one of the largest and most experienced operators of freestanding assisted living communities throughout the United States.  Emeritus merged with Brookdale Senior Living (NYSE: BKD) in a $2.4 billion transaction to form the largest assisted living company in the U.S. Mr. Baty also served as the Chairman of Holiday Retirement Corporation, the largest operator of retirement centers in the U.S. and Canada, from 1987 to its sale in 2007 to Fortress Investments for $7 billion.  Mr. Baty has been successfully investing in and developing private companies for over 30 years.
