Thomas J. Barrack, Jr., is Executive Chairman of Colony Capital Inc., a New York Stock Exchange REIT company headquartered in Los Angeles, California. As Executive Chairman, Mr. Barrack has invested approximately 60 billion in assets around the globe. Today, Mr. Barrack oversees a global organization located in 14 cities and 10 countries. Mr. Barrack serves on the boards of Carrefour S.A., Accor Hotels, Kerzner International Resorts and as Chairman of Miramax Films. Prior to the formation of Colony, Mr. Barrack was a principal with the Robert M. Bass Group and also served in the Reagan administration as Deputy Undersecretary of the Department of the Interior. Additionally, French president Nicolas Sarkozy awarded him France’s Chevalier de la Légion d’honneur. Mr. Barrack sits on a variety of public and private boards around the world. Mr. Barrack received a B.A. from the University of Southern California, attended the University of Southern California Law School and the University of San Diego, and received a J.D. in 1972. In 2005, Mr. Barrack was awarded an Honorary PhD in Jurisprudence from Pepperdine University. Mr. Barrack is a Trustee at the University of Southern California.
