Eric Sarasin is the Chair of Zurich 01 and 02 (Switzerland). Eric, educated in the US, worked for 27 years at his family Bank (Sarasin, today J. Safra Sarasin). He has deep knowledge about investing and finance, and advising family offices and private investors. The Bank was sold in 2012, and Eric today is an avid Private Equity investor, multiple board member, and philanthropist. Eric’s multinational background has given him the ability to deal with many cultures. Speaking five languages helps in this context. Eric and his wife Esme (American born) have four children. Eric has been a semi-professional soccer player, a Squash player and reaching his retirement age, now plays Golf! -

Eelco Fiole, CFA, is Chair of Switzerland 02. With over 25 year’s experience in finance, of which over 15 years as director, CFO and COO, Eelco is an accomplished governance specialist, investment executive, IFC nominee director, adjunct professor in Finance Ethics at the University of Neuchâtel and a Fellow of the Institute of Directors in London. Co-founder (2015) and Managing Partner of Alpha Governance Partners, a boutique fiduciary partnership across North America, Europe and Asia, his board mandates are in alternative investments, emerging markets, fintech (incl. blockchain) and impact. His clients and peers value his integrity, facilitation, listening skills, lateral thinking, and focus on positive relationships. A deeply international Dutchman, Eelco has 20+ years of private exposure to China and holds a.o. a PhD in Economics from the University of Basel and various professional designations, and volunteers for a variety of high-end bodies. In 2022, Eelco was one of four recipients of the CFA Institute Inspirational Leadership Awards. He practices Krav Maga and, as a single father, loves diving (currently finishing his Dive Master) and skiing with his teenage son Alexander.
