Eugene McDonald

Eugene McDonald is a Principal at Quellos, heading Quellos Private Capital Markets, L.P. as its Chief Investment Officer, and a member of the Quellos Investment Committee. Prior to joining Quellos, Mr. McDonald served as the Founding President and CEO of Duke Management Company (“DUMAC”) throughout the 1990s. Upon his departure from DUMAC, its assets exceeded $3.5 Billion. Mr. McDonald’s career at Duke University spanned 23 years in total, where he served successfully as the University’s General Counsel, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial/Chief Investment Officer before founding DUMAC in 1990. Mr. McDonald received a B.S. degree from the University of San Francisco and a J.D. degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law. He attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and received his L.L.M. from Georgetown University Law Center.
