Lynn Halpern Lederman is a Senior Vice President in the Estate Planning Department of U.S. Trust Company. She is an attorney working with clients and prospective clients and their attorneys on their estate planning issues and reviews documents in which U.S Trust is named as a fiduciary. Ms. Lederman also serves on the editorial board of Practical Drafting, a sophisticated estate planning publication. Prior to joining U.S. Trust in 1999, Ms. Lederman was an attorney in the Trusts and Estates Department of Pitney, Hardin, Kipp & Szuch LLP in Morristown, New Jersey where she handled estate planning and trust and estate administration for high-net-worth clients. In addition, she clerked for Associate Justice Robert L. Clifford of the New Jersey Supreme Court prior to entering the private practice of law. She is a member of the Board of the Estate Planning Council of Northern New Jersey and belongs to the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law section of the New Jersey State Bar Association. She is a frequent lecturer for the Practicing Law Institute and the New York State Bankers Association. Ms. Lederman earned her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and her J.D. from Duke University School of Law.
