John R. Hummel

John R. Hummel, President and Principal, has 40 years of investment experience. Prior to the formation of AIS, Mr. Hummel was a partner of Cowen & Co. (1990-1993), a partner of Matuschka & Co.(1987-1990), and a managing director of Mitchell Hutchins Asset Management (1977-1987). Mr. Hummel holds a B.S. degree in Investment Management from Northwestern University (1967). With his partner, Brad Stern, he has developed proprietary computer programs designed to identify intermediate and major trends in actively traded commodity futures, equity, and fixed income markets. In addition he has conducted extensive research in the areas of macro economics and factors identifying secular investment trends.
