Robert B. Seaberg is the Managing Director of Wealth Planning and Philanthropic Services in the Global Private Client Group of Smith Barney. As Director of Wealth Planning, Bob is responsible for comprehensive wealth planning for clients of distinction, including the development and supervision of numerous regional wealth planning centers. In Philanthropic Services, his responsibilities entail managing the development and delivery of sophisticated charitable planning strategies, including trusts and family foundations. Prior to assuming this position, Bob was the Director of Estate and Charitable Planning and the Director of Philanthropic Services. Bob is a member of the Planned Giving Group of Greater New York and the National Committee on Planned Giving, holds several professional licenses, including the Series 7, and is a Registered Principal. In addition, he currently serves as President of the Smith Barney Charitable Trust, a 501 © (3) organization; and he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Fiduciary Studies and a member of the APIC Industry Advisory Council. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Colgate University and recipient of the PhD with distinction from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs of Syracuse University, Bob was a college professor specializing in legal history before entering the field of financial services.
