John Mullin is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager with Bear Stearns Asset Management, where he focuses on international equity research, quantitative model development, and the implementation of investment strategies. Prior to joining Bear Stearns in May 2005, Dr. Mullin was a Managing Member at Prism Global Advisors LLC, where he was the head Portfolio Manager in charge of asset allocation, long/short equity strategy, and risk management. Dr. Mullin was the Director and Chief Equity Strategist of ABN AMRO in the Americas Division (2000-2001) and the Latin America Division (1998-2000). Before joining ABN AMRO, he was the Vice President and Chief Latin America Equity Strategist of Salomon Brothers (1996-1998) and Vice President of the Global Asset Allocation division at Smith Barney (1994-1996). Prior to joining Smith Barney, he served as a Senior Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (1989-1994), where he briefed senior officials on developments in international financial markets. Dr. Mullin received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1989; and a B.A. in Economics and History from the University of California at Berkeley in 1981. Dr. Mullin’s has written and spoken extensively on issues in international finance. His research has been recognized by polls conducted by Institutional Investor, Reuters, and Latin Finance. He has served as an adjunct professor at New York University.
