Lisa Murphy is a Senior Vice President at Smith Barney where she helps high net worth individuals and nonprofit organizations efficiently structure and manage their assets for today and for future generations. Prior to joining Smith Barney in 2003, Lisa worked at J.P. Morgan Private Bank. Lisa joined J.P. Morgan after graduating from Columbia Business School in 1999. Before moving to the Private Bank, she worked on the Emerging Markets and High Yield Credit Derivatives desk at J.P. Morgan Securities Incorporated. Lisa has had several years of experience working in fixed income on the institutional side. Before leaving for business school in 1997, Lisa worked at Donaldson, Lufkin, & Jenrette as a mortgage-backed securities structurer. Lisa began her career at Citibank in 1992 in the mortgage-backed securities research division. Lisa has participated in and organized public discussions on the topic of philanthropy in the Asian American Community for the Coalition for New Philanthropy, the Asian American Federation of New York and Asia Society (coming up in May 05). Lisa is an active volunteer with several nonprofit organizations. She is a board member of LaGuardia Community College, Asian American Federation of New York, and Korean American League of Civic Action. She is also a member of the New York Women's Foundation's Allocations Committee for 2005. Lisa attended Rutgers College, Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She graduated in 1992 with a B.A. in Physics and a minor in music.
