Lee Wortham

Prior to becoming a partner of Barrantys LLC, Lee Wortham was an Executive Vice President and Management Committee member for the $9 billion-asset First Niagara Financial Group, where he led all wealth management activities, including portfolio management, trust and estate services and brokerage.He was the Executive Vice President of Global Private Client Services for The Bank of New York, where, from 1999 to 2005, he ran the firm’s high-net-worth activities – with over $60 billion in assets under management and administration worldwide.From 1985 – 1999, he was with legacy firms Chase Manhattan and Chemical Bank (now JP Morgan Chase & Co.) in various Managing Director capacities, where he led, for example, the Global Private Bank Entrepreneurs & Business Owners Segment with $9.3 billion in assets under management and administration. He also oversaw product and services groups supporting over $850 million per year in revenues and 2,000-plus employees.  From 1993 – 1997, Mr. Wortham was based in London, where he was in charge of $18 billion in client assets extending from Europe, the Middle East and Africa.Mr. Wortham serves on the boards of directors of the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation and National Federation of Just Communities – WNY, and is a member of the Canisius College Board of Regents.  He also served on the Atlantic Health Systems and Mountainside Hospital boards.  He has a B.S. from Canisius College and an MBA from the New York Institute of Technology, Westbury, New York.
