Terry Eagan. M.D. is a prominent psychiatrist and serves as Medical Director of Moonview Sanctuary. Dr. Eagan is an internationally respected physician and is sought out as a lecturer and consultant for Fortune 500 companies, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Organization of Los Angeles Business Managers in Entertainment, public school systems, financial institutions, community health centers, television and film productions, law enforcement agencies, hospitals, and universities. He has extensive experience working with research clinical trials, having been involved in numerous psychopharmacology studies for eight international pharmaceutical companies.  He also serves on the National Speakers Bureau for Eli Lilly Pharmaceuticals, Forest Pharmaceuticals, Wyeth-Ayerst, Inc., and Sepracor Pharmaceuticals, among others, lecturing on psychopharmacology to physicians of all specialties across the United States.His range of specialties includes eating disorders, addictive disorders, primary psychiatric conditions, human sexuality and spiritual therapy. Dr. Eagan’s treatment approach incorporates the use of pharmacologic interventions with conventional cognitive behavioral therapies as well as traditional spiritual practices and adjunctive modalities. A graduate of the University of Tennessee, College of Medicine in 1987, Dr. Eagan completed his medical training in psychiatry at the Los Angeles County – University of Southern California Medical Center.  After serving as chief resident in psychiatry at USC from 1990-1992, Dr. Eagan developed a highly successful private practice in Beverly Hills, CA. During his 16 year professional career, he has served in the capacity of Medical Director for numerous treatment centers such as Sherman Oaks Medical Center, Eating Disorder Center of California, Milestones Ranch Malibu, and Bridges to Recovery. Dr. Eagan is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners. He has served as Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Southern California (USC) School of Medicine and he also helps shape healthcare policy in The United States as a consultant to the Physician’s Advisory Board of the National Republican Congressional Committee, serving as Honorary Chairman for the State of California.Having treated over 20,000 patients during the course of his career, many of whom have been at the extremes of celebrity, Dr. Eagan is sensitive to the complexities that arise from being in the public eye. He has had the opportunity to work with a number of patients from the entertainment industry,  motion picture studios including film, television, and music, as well as, politics and business. Dr. Eagan has treated families in wealth transfer, treated stock brokers and hedge fund brokers about risk management, affluent client base about notoriety/charity/stresses of excess.  Born the son of a minister, Dr. Eagan has consulted with numerous clergy of various denominations regarding both psychiatric issues and spiritual concerns. With Dr. Laurie Ann Levin, Dr. Stephen Sideroff and Dr. Marlene Doctorow, he developed the programs that became the foundation for Moonview Sanctuary, a unique mental health institute that brings together the wisdom and approaches from all over the world, both new and ancient. As the Medical Director at Moonview Sanctuary, Dr. Eagan pursues his mission to encourage ongoing spiritual exploration in the field of psychiatry and to advance the integration of medical and psychiatric services in the delivery of healthcare.Terry Van Eagan, MD, License # G67163, is certified by the Medical Board of California as a physician and surgeon, practicing as a psychiatrist since 1989.
