Wafa Sultan is a Syrian-born American psychiatrist who was named as one of TIME Magazine’s most influential people in 2006. Since the September 11, 2001 attacks, she has participated in many political discussions through various media outlets, including Al Jazeera and CNN. She became famous as the first Arab Muslim woman on Al Jazeera who demanded to be heard.
