Andrew Wright

Andrew Wright joined Scotia Private Client Group in 2007 as Managing Director and Head of Private Banking.  He has lead transformational change in the business by adding enhanced customized lending capabilities to the traditional focus on high service standards and expert transactional support for high net worth clients.  Andrew lead the creation of the Total Wealth, an industry-leading, innovative lending platform that allows high net worth clients to simply access credit using a broad range of assets.  He also developed and launched Inspire, an unique personalized travel planning and event access platform exclusive to Private Banking clients of Scotiabank.With nearly 25 years of experience at Scotiabank, Andrew has held numerous senior posts in corporate and commercial banking including Vice-President Kitchener-Waterloo Commercial Banking Centre.  He held the position of Director, Commercial Banking, Head Office, where his responsibilities included business strategy, brand development, training and technology initiatives. He has also held many Relationship Management roles in various markets with Commercial Banking and Corporate Real Estate Lending. In addition to earning an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Waterloo, Andrew studied business at Dalhousie University where he earned an MBA.
