Dennis Atkinson is a Managing Partner in ePlanet Capital’s London office, focusing on ePlanet’s EMEA investments as well as working globally on internet, ecommerce, and social gaming. He joined ePlanet in January 2003. Mr. Atkinson has been involved in many of ePlanet's investments, including; Skype (sold to eBay), End2End (sold to Mach), First Hop (sold to Airwide Solutions), HPL (sold to Dow), and BiancaMed (sold to ResMed). Currently, Mr. Atkinson represents ePlanet’s interest on the boards of Vipdukkan (Turkey), eCommera Ltd (UK), Greetz (Netherlands), Palringo Ltd (UK), and Median Technologies SA (France). Prior to joining ePlanet, Mr. Atkinson was a Principal at Softbank Europe Ventures, where he specialized in Internet, software, and data-communications investments. Prior to joining Softbank, Mr. Atkinson was Global Product Manager for Reuters Business Information, designing and developing IP based information systems. Whilst also at Reuters, Mr. Atkinson evaluated acquisition and new-venture opportunities in the technology and telecoms sectors in Europe, working closely with Reuters research groups in London and California on next generation IP and Java based information products. He holds a First Class Honors Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics from Exeter University, and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
