Brian Frank

Mr. Frank, a Partner of MSDC Management, L.P., joined MSD Capital in October 2008 to manage MSD Energy Investments, L.P., which invests in equity and debt securities of energy-related companies.  Brian became a partner of MSD Capital, L.P. in January 2012.  From 2005 to 2008, Brian was with Cumberland Associates, a long-short hedge fund in New York.  Beginning in 2006, he successfully managed an energy portfolio and became a Cumberland Member (Partner) at the end of 2007.  During 2004, he worked as director of Business Development and Strategic Planning for a division of Harman International, an international manufacturing company. Prior to that, he was a Principal at WR Hambrecht + Co in the private equity group responsible for origination, due diligence, execution and monitoring of venture and private equity investments across a number of industries.  Brian began his career as an investment banking analyst at Lazard Frères.  Brian received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1999 and a B.A. in Government, magna cum laude, from Harvard University in 1995.
