Pradeep Ramamurthy

Pradeep Ramamurthy is based out of the New York office and helps lead The Abraaj Group’s engagement with investors and stakeholders in the US as well as with investment consultants globally.Prior to joining The Abraaj Group, Mr. Ramamurthy served in a number of senior national security and foreign policy positions at the White House, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and U.S. Agency for International Development. Immediately prior to leaving the U.S. Government, Mr. Ramamurthy was the Deputy Counselor for Innovation at USAID. For the previous four years, Mr. Ramamurthy worked at the White House where he advised President Bush and President Obama as the first-ever Senior Director for Global Engagement, a director on the National Security Council, and as an advisor to the President’s Counterterrorism & Homeland Security Advisor. Prior to his time at the White House, Mr. Ramamurthy served in a number of senior roles across the U.S. Intelligence Community and played a key role in the post-9/11 reorganization of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.Mr. Ramamurthy is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and serves on advisory boards for the Center for Global Engagement and Investors’ Circle. He has a B.Sc. in International Politics from Georgetown University and a M.A. in Social Studies from the University of Chicago.
