Charles Boorady

Charles Boorady is Founding Managing Director of Health Catalyst Capital Management, LLC (HCCM), a Venture Capital fund investing in entrepreneurial teams building high growth healthcare information technology businesses that improve outcomes and value. Leveraging a large network of advisors and over 25 years of experience with healthcare investment and information technology business reengineering activity, past firms include Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, Citi, and Accenture. He is Chairman of the Board of PierianDx, the leading provider of genomic software and services to enable data-driven personalized medicine. He is also member of the board of Remedy Partners, a leading software and service company that organizes the delivery and financing of health care around the patient experience and holds other board and Advisor roles with innovative healthcare organizations. He is a Founding Advisory Board member of The Oliver Wyman Health Innovation Center, convening leaders to identify business solutions to improve healthcare outcomes. Charles has evaluated, advised, and invested in scores of private companies focused on healthcare and information technology, ranging from start-up to growth equity and underwriting numerous IPOs including among the largest and most complex in healthcare. He ranked #1 by Institutional Investor magazine for coverage of Managed Care, for which he has ranked top 3 in the country for over a decade; and ranked #1 for coverage of Health Care Providers and Services by Forbes magazine which named him among the “Dazzling Dozen” for investment research. He has been quoted in international press and interviewed on CNBC, Bloomberg and other networks for his insights on healthcare industry trends. He has also delivered speeches on the future of the healthcare industry and health policy at national industry conferences including AHIP, PCMA, Center for Studying Health System Change, Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, to the board of directors and executive leadership of numerous public and private companies, and as guest lecturer at Columbia University, New York University, Yale University and others. Mr. Boorady has an MBA in Analytic Finance and Statistics from The University of Chicago and a BS in Engineering from Cornell University. He lives in Manhattan with is wife of over 15 years and three children.
