Sam Houston

As CEO of Spear Point Energy, Sam Houston develops and maintains key investor and business partner relationships. Over the last 6 years, Sam has developed and financed over 20MW of distributed solar projects for commercial and industrial customers, municipalities, and utilities. Prior to co-founding Spear Point Energy, Sam was Managing Director of Camco North America with the responsibility to initiate, build and lead the North American team to expand their global carbon business. Prior to his work in renewable energy, Sam worked 25 years in real estate development. He was responsible for all aspects of project developments, including project origination, equity and debt origination, negotiations, strategic planning, strategic relationships, overseeing construction, operations, design, marketing, sales and finance totaling over a billion dollars in projects. He has worked with large funds, private equity groups, family offices and high net-worth private individuals in these investment opportunities. Mr. Houston studied in Edinburgh, Scotland at Fettes College and Dalhousie University in Canada.
