Chris Hanks

Chris Hanks joined Coulton Creek Capital at formation as its Managing Director in  September 2013. In the two and a half years since helping to form Coulton Creek, Chris has stewarded the company to $50 million dollars of assets under management.Previously, Chris was the CFO of HealthTrans, a privately held pharmacy benefit manager, where he concluded his tenure with the company’s strategic sale in January 2012. During his eleven years at HealthTrans, he partnered with the management team to grow revenue from $4 million to $300 million, successfully close and integrate $50 million in acquisitions, and raise $100 million in debt and equity to fund the acquisitions and a minority private equity recapitalization.Following the HealthTrans transaction, Chris continued through July 2013 as SVP Finance with Catamaran Corp, a $13 billion publicly traded pharmacy benefit manager, where he led the HealthTrans business through its integration with Catamaran. In addition, following  Catamaran’s $4.4 billion dollar acquisition of CatalystRx, Chris built a new finance function responsible for Catamaran’s five business units and served on the management committee responsible for an $80 million annual EBITDA joint venture.Prior to HealthTrans, Chris held finance leadership roles with Elan Pharmaceuticals and  senior finance roles with Colgate-Palmolive.Chris earned his MBA from Bentley College and his BS in business administration from  Colorado State University. He was recognized by the Denver Business Journal as one of  Denver’s outstanding CFOs in 2008 and was featured in a February 2009 cover story in Treasury & Risk magazine.Chris lives in Castle Rock with his wife, son, daughter and two dogs. Outside of work, he enjoys family time, running, hiking, cycling and almost any outdoor activity
