Justin Borus

Justin Borus is the Founder and Managing Partner of Lazarus Management Company LLC, a $250 million Denver-based firm that invests in niche, differentiated strategies.  Lazarus’s core fund is an Israel fund which is up over 155% net since its launched just over five years ago.  In fact, Preqin ranked the Israel fund the 8th best performing fund in the world in its category for its three year performance through June 2016 and the fund was awarded the CNBC sponsored Emerging Multi-Strategy of the year award for 2016.  On July 1, 2016, Lazarus launched a Behavioral Finance Fund which incorporates the “greatest hits” of Professor C. Thomas Howard’s 35+ years of behavioral research.  Think “Moneyball” for the stock market.  The Behavioral fund is up over 65% net in the 11 months since its inception.  Prior to Lazarus, Justin worked in the Investment Banking and Private Equity groups at Bear, Stearns & CO. Inc. in New York and London.  Justin was also a syndicated cartoonist for over 10 years with his daily comic strip appearing regularly in over 300 newspapers around the country.  Justin has also written and produced animation for Fox Sports.  Justin graduated from Williams College with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics.
