Dr. Gregory Brannon

Medical Director, The Youth Institute

Dr. Greg Brannon was raised in Southern California by a single mother.  Hard work and ability carried him from his early years to college, medical school, and Clinical Assistant professorship at the University of North Carolina Wake AHEC. Despite his seemingly easy success and the doors that opened for him, Greg took on jobs his peers refused, serving the women of local prisons who needed his services for Gynecology and Pelvic Surgery during his tenure at UNC and continuing beyond as he transitioned into private practice. As an OB/GYN, Dr. Greg Brannon is a fully qualified and trained female endocrinologist. Greg is active in his church and has supported its international missions to reach out to people in need.  When the people of Costa Rica were impacted by heavy rains and floods that brought landslides, Greg traveled with local churches to serve, something he would repeat in Panama and El Salvador.  He and his wife, Jody, live in Cary, North Carolina where they are devoted to raising seven children, three of whom are adopted.  He has served as a board member of Cary Christian School, Cary, North Carolina, and spends his weekends leading bible study, coaching soccer, hockey, and golf for his kids’ teams.  Greg Brannon brings his faith to work with him every day while he practices medicine. He serves as a Board Member of Hand of Hope, a pregnancy support group in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, and is a member of AAPLOG, an organization of pro-life OBGYN doctors.In 2014 and 2016, Dr. Brannon ran for US Senate. During those races, he was endorsed by many of liberty finest, including Senator Lee, Senator Rand Paul, and former Congressman Ron Paul.  Since then, he continues to be a voice for liberty in North Carolina, by speaking at universities, conferences, and activist groups. He also hosts a weekly radio show, The Brannon Broadcast. In all settings, Dr. Brannon looks to promote individual freedom, limited government, and the potential of each life.EducationReceived his BS from the University of Southern California.Studied Medicine at the University of Health and Science Chicago Medical School.Completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Southern California Women’s Hospital in Los Angeles.Upon completion of residency, Dr. Brannon joined the UNC School of Medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology working at Wake AHE
