Kim V. Heyman is a partner in Gadsden Schneider & Woodward LLP, a boutique wealth and personal planning law firm in Wayne, Pennsylvania. Ms. Heyman focuses her practice on sophisticated wealth transfer planning and related tax planning. She has substantial experience advising individuals and family offices on estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax issues, trust and estate administration, philanthropic structures and special needs planning. Whether Ms. Heyman is drafting and implementing complex estate plans, leveraged wealth transfer strategies or “simple” estate documents, Kim understands that the appropriate plan is the one molded by each client’s unique legacy objectives.Ms. Heyman is a member of the American Bar Association’s Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section, and its Charitable Planning and Organizations Group, and she currently serves as Chair of the Group’s Committee on Legislative and Regulatory Issues. She is an active member of the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council and the Tax Committee of the Probate and Trust Law Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association. Ms. Heyman has written articles and spoken locally and nationally on estate planning, charitable planning and trust and estate administration topics. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New York. Ms. Heyman received her J.D., cum laude, in 1995 and her LL.M. in Taxation in 1999, both from New York University School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1990.Kim lives in Wynnewood with her husband, Craig Peck, and their daughter, Amelia (along with their two dogs, Lido and Tougher, and cat, Puddles). Her interests include food, travel, community involvement, mindfulness and embarking on numerous adventures with her family.
