Tom Wallace

Thomas Wallace co-founded his first company at the age of 23. He has been involved in starting, growing and building businesses ever since. He has also been an active tech angel investor for the past 25 years.Some of Mr. Wallace’s notable investments include:• Vector Solutions, an online training Saas, which was sold to Providence Equity Partners• Tribridge, Inc., a Microsoft ERP and CRM integrator, which was sold to DXC Technology• Q-Link, a business process management tool, which was sold to Adobe Systems, Inc. • Threshold-360, which provides 360 views of commercial spaces• All Florida Funders Portfolio, which contains multiple Florida-based tech firmsPrior to joining Florida Funders, Mr. Wallace served as CEO of Vector Solutions, a SaaS company providing services in the online training compliance space in which he invested in 2003. In 2016 Vector Solutions was purchased by Providence Equity Partners, a $40 billion private equity firm. That transaction yielded a 50x return on his investment.In addition, Mr. Wallace and his business partner, Kevin Adamek, built and sold two other successful companies. The first was Waldec Systems, a successful systems integration company that merged with Monterey Microsystems to form Monterey–Waldec in 1986. Monterey-Waldec was sold in 1990 to Intelligent Electronics, a large publicly traded NASDAQ listed company. In 1990 they started The Waldec Group, a network integration company which they grew to seven locations with over 350 employees in Florida and Pennsylvania and over $80 million in revenue. In 1997 they sold the company to Alco Standard Corp., a Fortune 500 company, and became part of Alco’s IKON Technology Services Division. Mr. Wallace has been active in the Florida technology community for the past 25 years. He was one of the original founders of the Tampa Bay Technology Forum in 2001 and served as it’s CEO for the first three years. He frequently speaks at technology conferences as a subject matter expert on entrepreneurship and raising capital. Over the course of his career he has raised well over $100M in investment capital for his various companies from venture capital and private equity firms. Mr. Wallace often serves as a judge for business pitch competitions as well as judging the E&Y “Entrepreneur of the Year” award.
