Jason Booher

Jason Booher is the founder and CEO of the Leadership & Strategic Change Management consultancy, Northwest Harbor Solutions – a thought leader and recognized expert at building and leading high-performing organizations. As CEO, he leads a diverse group of career Special Operations and private sector experts, and advises client senior executives on executing corporate strategy and managing transformational change. He has led successful engagements and driven value creation across multiple industries, ranging from the public sector, to middle-market through Fortune 500 companies.Prior to founding Northwest Harbor, Jason served for 23 years as a Navy SEAL: as a SEAL Operator, Leader, Educator, and Innovator, building and leading elite teams in global, no-fail environments. An innovative problem solver, he was consistently handpicked to tackle critical challenges and develop new, cutting-edge capabilities for the SEAL Teams and larger 70K-person U.S. Special Operations enterprise. He consistently delivered innovative, high-value solutions to fill critical operational gaps as the SEAL Teams evolved in their fight against terror around the globe. He commanded hundreds of combat operations, led the last phase of the famed basic SEAL training called BUD/S, and spearheaded the use of cross-functional intelligence teams in SEAL Team operations. He effectively integrated multiple functions, cultures, and women into the full range of Special Operations missions, and earned a national-level civilian award for innovation in the defense industry. He created three first-ever capabilities for U.S. Special Operations, and created & led two new SEAL organizations from the ground up – all of which became best practice within the Department of Defense. He is a highly decorated combat veteran, completing numerous deployments to dozens of countries, including multiple combat tours to Afghanistan, Iraq, and Southeast Asia.Jason led the elite SEAL unit he created for five years before retiring from the Navy in 2015, and founding Northwest Harbor. He is an Honors Graduate of the University of San Diego, principle architect of Northwest Harbor’s 5-Pillar Approach and Navigate process, and a highly sought-after keynote speaker: addressing industry leading organizations and world-class universities on Leading Transformational Change, Executing Strategy and Improving Peak Performance.Jason currently lives in San Diego with his family where he continues his passion for service, staying very active in the San Diego community, youth programs and school districts. He is Chairman of the Board of Directors, of Unified Community Development Associates, a national public/private partnership nonprofit, and is an adjunct lecturer at the University of California at San Diego, where he teaches a course on Merging Global Business Cultures.
