Virginia Dondy Green is Vice President Investment Policy for Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC). Before joining OPIC in 2001, Mrs. Green served as Associate General Counsel of the Department of Defense, Assistant Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel, ITT, and Partner in the Washington Offices of Reed Smith. Mrs. Green graduated from Georgetown Law Center, served as an editor on the Georgetown Law Review, and clerked for the former Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, Spottswood Robinson. Mrs. Green has advised, litigated and directed implementation of labor, employment and workers rights standards for US global companies. Mrs. Green further participated in the establishment of worldwide environmental guidelines for ITT. At the Department of Defense, Mrs. Green participated in the continuing evolution of effective implementation of federal employment law to the civilian workforce worldwide and Mrs. Green participated in the application of sound environmental standards to Defense contracting and Department of Defense installations. At ITT and in private practice, Mrs. Green advised extensively on best practices, corporate governance and top down implementation of procedures to protect against corporate fraud, false claims and false statements. Mrs. Green was called on by officers and corporate boards to identify tools to implement good business practices, verify application of those practices, and assess failures or departures from standard operating procedures. Mrs. Green is the recipient of Department of State, Department of Defense and Department of the Air Force Distinguished Service Awards. She served as Special Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs and Executive Secretary of Defense, Force Management. Mrs. Green holds a B.A and a J.D. from Georgetown University.
