Matthew Blind

Matthew Blind is Vice President, Investment Services, for Fidelity Family Office Services (FFOS), a business unit of Fidelity Investments. Matthew assumed his current position in January 2011 and is responsible for the investment business as well as asset management opportunities with FFOS key strategic relationships. In addition, he helps family offices solve complex investment problems and provides them access to unique investment ideas and deals.Prior to Joining FFOS in 2011, Mr. Blind most recently served as a research consultant for Strategic Advisers (SAI) and Fidelity Management and Research Company (FMR Co.). In his role, he was responsible for sector-based research on energy and cyclical companies as well as hedging concentrated positions in Fidelity-managed accounts. Matthew joined Fidelity in 2009 as a part of an enterprise management development and consulting program.Mr. Blind began his professional career as an Infantry Officer in the United States Army. During his five-year tenure as an officer, he served as a platoon leader, company executive officer, company commander, and primary staff officer at Fort Lewis, Washington, and Mosul, Iraq. Upon completion of his military service in 2007, Mr. Blind joined Kraft Foods Global Inc., where he managed a $500 million revenue domestic business.Mr. Blind earned a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He is a CFA charterholder, member of the Boston Society of Security Analysts (BSAS), and is a qualified Army Ranger, Sapper, and Paratrooper.
