Job Title: Software Engineer             

Job Classification: Full-Time            

Reports To: VP of IT

Location: Remote. Occasional travel required (<10%). 

Salary Range: $100-125K     

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Software Engineer will be responsible for improving/maintaining TIGER 21’s Salesforce implementation and integrations with other applications. They will also be involved in and support systems development for TIGER 21’s custom Mobile App and Website, along with supporting the data flow and transformations to populate the Data Warehouse.

The Software Engineer will be involved in architectural discussions and decisions.

The Software Engineer will be involved with engaging in vendor relationships where appropriate for systems development, and ensuring vendors meet expected levels of quality and follow development processes in accordance with TIGER 21 specifications.

The Software Engineer will work with the rest of the IT team providing technical support for TIGER 21 Staff, Chairs, and Members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Other duties may be assigned

• Administration and Management of TIGER 21’s Salesforce Org and integrations to other systems
• Development of core systems, which includes a custom native mobile app and website
• Management and support of ancillary systems, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud, TIGER 21’s Data Warehouse (Knime and Redshift), TIGER 21’s Marketing Website (WordPress), NetSuite, and other systems as they are implemented
• Working with Vendor partners for the delivery of development and QA to specifications
• Support of the platforms, tools, and applications used to support TIGER 21’s application development, including GitHub, Jira/Confluence, Netlify, Apple Store / Google Play
• Management of Cloud Services including Office 365, AWS, Go Daddy, and Digital Ocean platforms
• Architectural engagement and discussion for systems development with the CIO and VP of IT
• Desktop / User support for issues submitted by TIGER 21 Staff, Chairs, and Members

COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS:

• Experience working as a Salesforce Administrator / Developer
• Experience in developing and configuring to functional specifications
• Broad and extensive knowledge of the software development and quality assurance processes and technologies used to support them.
• Development and architectural knowledge of mobile optimized websites/apps and system integrations
• Experience with database creation and maintenance
• Knowledge of user interfaces and user interface design (UX)

DESIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Software Development, Business, or related area.
• 3 years of professional work experience

TECHNOLOGY:

• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of Code Repositories (e.g., GitHub), their use and application in an environment which includes vendor partners.
• Knowledge and experience in working with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, Google, and/or Digital Ocean) or physical networks management
• Knowledge of computer languages, such as Java, Javascript, PHP, Python, and SQL
• Experience working with NetSuite or other large-scale CRM/ERP type systems
