Mark Hansen

Mark Hansen is a Director of CPM Group, a commodities research and advisory firm founded in 1986.  Mark was previously an investment partner and COO of the global commodities group of Standard Pacific Capital, a San Francisco based investment manager which oversaw $4 billion at that time.  In that role Mark oversaw research into twenty different commodity markets and construction of a portfolio based on fundamental research.  At CPM Group Mark serves as Director of Trading.  In this capacity Mark works with major producers and consumers of commodities to analyze structure and execute complex commodity derivative transactions to hedge commodity price risk exposure.  He was worked with major international mining companies, battery and engine manufacturers and even the United Nations Common Fund for Commodities where he worked with a team instructing small holders in West Africa on utilizing financial markets to offset cocoa price risk.  He is a regular contributor to CNBC, Bloombers and newspapers on financial markets and current affairs.  Mark graduated from George Washington University with a B.A. in International Economics and minor in Global Public Health.
