Jeremy McCool

While serving in the Iraqi War, JEREMY MCCOOL pledged to do whatever was in his power to reduce U.S. dependence on foreign fuel. After he exited the military, Jeremy attended Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) where he studied energy security through the creation and deployment of sustainable development policies and innovative, disruptive technologies. Focusing his pursuits on this hybrid model led Jeremy to create an urban-based solution that would accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles.  Jeremy founded HEVO Inc. (Hybrid Electric Vehicle Optimization) in November of 2011 with the mission to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) through the use of its wireless charging solution. HEVO and NYU School of Engineering successfully developed a wireless power transfer technology to charge EVs.  With the help of a recently awarded NYSERDA grant, HEVO has initiated its Alpha prototype pilot program with the support of various stakeholders throughout New York State and the US.
