Mac Van Wielingen

Mac provides leadership support for the executive team in the areas of internal governance, corporate development and investment decision-making. He has played key roles in numerous significant corporate transactions and capital-raising projects. Mac is a member of ARC’s Investment and Governance committees.• Chief Executive Officer of ARC from 1989 to 2001 and Chair or Co-Chair of ARC from 2001 to 2014.• Founder and former Chair and member of the Board of Directors of ARC Resources Ltd.• Chairman of Alberta Investment Management Corporation.• Co-founder and Chair of the Canadian Centre for Advanced Leadership at the Haskayne School of Business.• Prior to founding ARC in 1989 was Senior Vice-President and Director at a major Canadian investment dealer.• Education includes an Honours graduate of the Ivey School of Business in finance and post-graduate economic studies at Harvard University.
