Jeff Glickman

Jeff Glickman was studying electrical engineering when he was six years old. He built his first computer when he was nine, programming at first in machine language using toggle switches. He won multiple science awards, including a Westinghouse. He was invited to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign where he taught semiconductor physics to graduate students at the age of 16, and was provided with his own research lab. He was Assistant Director of one of John Bardeen’s spin-off laboratories, the Information Engineering Laboratory. He was appointed to help run the first National Science Foundation funded computing facility, the predecessor of, and model for, the first National Supercomputing Center. He is trained in both software and hardware engineering. His career has straddled the commercial, industrial and defense sectors. He has delivered advanced technology and services, including software, hardware, communication, image processing, pattern recognition, and artificial and machine intelligence technologies, for The Department of Defense, Ford Motor Company, General Motors, NASA, InFocus Corporation, The Academy of Applied Science, The International Group for Historic Aircraft Recovery, The Technical Committee of the US Department of Justice, and others. Most of his work has been in artificial and machine intelligence, and image processing and pattern recognition. He holds approximately 50 patents in multiple disciplines including machine intelligence, computer architecture, communications, and image processing and pattern recognition. He holds the foundational patents for machine intelligence. His patents have been licensed and assigned to leading companies including Atmel, Seiko-Epson, Polycom, InFocus and Intellectual Ventures. He has been cited in articles and books, guest lectured at Universities, spoken at conferences, been a panel member at conferences, and appeared on television programming. He is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and is Chair Emeritus of the IEEE, Seattle Section, a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), a Board Certified Forensic Examiner, Fellow of the American College of Forensic Examiners, past member of the Washington State Forensic Investigation Council, past President of the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, Puget Sound Region, past Chairman of the City of Hood River, Oregon Planning Commission, past City Councilmember, City of Woodinville, Washington, past Deputy-Mayor, City of Woodinville, Washington. He currently serves as CEO of J4 Capital LLC, a Registered Investment Advisor, where he developed the world’s first artificial superintelligence. He resides in Woodinville, Washington with his wife, daughter and son.
