He brings 30 years of experience to investment-oriented business owners, entrepreneurs, and their families focusing on such areas as investment management, asset allocation, investment policy creation, multi-generational planning, and the succession of family offices. Previously, Chris was a Partner of GenSpring Family Offices, has served as a President for JPMorgan Private Bank, and Senior Managing Director at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. Cecil graduated from the University of North Carolina and has received executive degrees from the Harvard Business School and the Darden Business School. He serves on numerous philanthropic and investment committee boards, as well as several family office governance boards nationwide.

  Philip Marxen is Chair of Charlotte 02. He is a Managing Director of Arkview Capital, a lower middle market private equity firm focused on control investments in capital-constrained sectors and overlooked businesses. Prior to joining Arkview, Philip gained private equity experience at Falcon Private Holdings, SK Capital, Blackstone, and TPG. He received his MBA from the Harvard Business School and his BA in Political Economy from Georgetown University. Philip conducts admission interviews for Georgetown University and supports charitable organizations including the Alzheimer’s Association and MusicLand. A wine enthusiast and avid tennis and pickleball player, Philip lives in Charlotte, NC with his two daughters.
