TIGER 21’S @HOME SUMMIT: INSIGHTS FROM FINANCIAL AND HEALTH LEADERS
High-Net-Worth Organization Hosts Virtual Conference to Enable Members to Optimize Wealth and Wellness
New York, NY– TIGER 21, the premier peer membership organization for high-net-worth wealth creators, hosted the third installment of its @Home Summit virtual conference series, titled, “W/Health Reimagined,” on November 13. The focus of this all-virtual conference was to highlight perspectives from key thought leaders in both the financial and health sectors to TIGER 21’s 850+ Members from the United States, Canada, and Europe.
“As the pandemic challenges us to continually adapt in all aspects of our personal and professional lives, TIGER 21 leans into this as an opportunity to bring content to our Members that will help inform their approach to this unusual time,” said Timothy Daniels, President and Chief Executive Officer of TIGER 21. “Now more than ever, TIGER 21 Members are looking to both peers and experts alike to fully comprehend and navigate financial opportunities on the horizon as well as protect the health of themselves and their loved ones.”
The day-long event welcomed visionaries from various sectors, including Howard Marks, Co-Chairman and Co-Founder of Oaktree Capital Management, Lisa Shalett, Chief Investment Officer and Head of the Global Investment Office for Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, and Michael Pollan, six-time New York Times bestselling author and sustainable food advocate.
Howard Marks shared with TIGER 21 Members, “While there’s a high degree of confidence surrounding vaccines and the outlook for the economy, significant uncertainties remain. Thus investors have to be able to weather market fluctuations. Investment decisions should not be dominated by short-term macro forecasts, but rather the desire for participation in a portfolio that incorporates upside potential as well as a healthy dose of defensiveness. With interest rates and security prices where they are, the odds don’t favor aggressive behavior.”
“While the current state of affairs has challenged virtually every aspect of our work and personal lives, we also see a period of extraordinary productivity, said Lisa Shalett. “We are on the path of building diversified exposures, and while we are open to opportunities, much like TIGER 21 Members, we are strategic and cautious in our approach. When investing you have to look at the horizon – and the minute you start looking down at your skis — is the minute you create unnecessary churn.”
“As an author and academic, I am constantly seeking knowledge and find myself at the intersection of various topics, with a distinct focus on the connection of the human and natural worlds — spanning from caffeine to psychedelics and many others,” said Michael Pollan. “I understand how valuable it is to gain insights directly from experts in their respective fields, and I was delighted to be able to share my perspective on the medicinal promise of psychedelics for alleviating depression, anxiety, and addiction, as well as understanding how the mind works, with the distinguished Membership of TIGER 21.”
“Due to the evolving challenges present in today’s climate, Members are preparing more than ever in a prudent fashion to weather any storm. However, as established investors, they are also alert for any imminent opportunities,” said Michael Sonnenfeldt, Founder and Chairman of TIGER 21. “Through the learning provided at TIGER 21’s @Home Summit series, we can ensure Members are able to examine this rapidly changing landscape in a unique and confidential setting for the benefit of their financial and physical health.”
