POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a full-time, fully remote Senior Financial Analyst to join our growing Finance department at TIGER 21. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Financial Analyst will fill a key role within the Finance organization. As a private equity-backed company, TIGER 21 must maintain an extremely high standard of financial reporting to the Executive Leadership team and Board of Directors. This position will be responsible for managing the reporting, forecasting and analysis of TIGER 21’s business performance. The position will provide critical financial analysis, oversight, and partnership with multiple operational leaders across the organization to assist in driving business decisions through fact-based, financial data and analytics.
The ideal candidate will have advanced financial competence, strong business acumen, deep knowledge of financial analysis tools and techniques, experience leveraging business intelligence and data analytics, and exceptional communication skills. Prior experience and educational background in accounting and/or corporate finance is required.
This role will report to the Chief Financial Officer, and will also work closely with other Executives, finance team members and other internal and external stakeholders. While this is a remote position, it will require occasional travel to our New York City corporate headquarters (or to other offsite locations) for in-person collaboration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all aspects of financial reporting and key performance indicators to the Executive team and Board of Directors
- Develop internal budgets, forecast, and reports
- Develop departmental, functional and segment P&L’s and analysis including dashboards that highlight performance, profitability and trends
- Develop reporting metrics and other KPIs to assist in managing the business
- Partner with leaders across the organization to assist in driving business decisions through financial information, business intelligence and data analytics
- Collaborate with the IT / Data Analytics team to compile, organize and analyze operational data to produce actionable insights for business leaders
- Provide senior leadership with appropriate information and ad-hoc analyses to support business decisions
- Assist with preparation of quarterly Executive Team and Board Meeting materials
- Calculate, prepare and process monthly compensation disbursements for independent contractors and related accounting entries.
- Engage with contractors to communicate and approve payment amounts and respond to questions as needed.
- Organize, audit and maintain financial information in Excel and other enterprise-level software applications and analyze data for insights and trends
- Assist with month-end accounting entries, procedures, audits and other miscellaneous finance and accounting tasks as needed
DESIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Basic knowledge accrual accounting in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Exceptional financial analysis competence, solid understanding of corporate finance concepts, and deep knowledge of financial analysis tools and techniques
- Highly proficient in Excel – deep financial modeling and data mining expertise; proficient in PowerPoint.
- Ability to translate high level ideas into financial or operating models
- Strong written and oral communication skills, able to synthesize and present data clearly
- Strong interpersonal skills – able to interface with team members of varying seniority and analytical ability
DESIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- 2-4 years’ experience in corporate FP&A or corporate development function; alternatively, 1-2 years of investment banking, strategic consulting, private equity, or transaction advisory diligence work
- Hands on experience using professional accounting software (NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, etc.) and other ERP systems
- Prior experience working with business intelligence and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting with strong academic performance.
