Ambassador Luis Lauredo's career involvement in both the public andprivate sector, gives him unique insight into theissues facing government and industry. Ambassador Lauredo’s work focuses on international and governmental affairs, representing both U.S. and European entitites doing business in Latin America and Latin American companies and economic groups engaged in business in the United States. Ambassador Lauredo served as the U.S. Ambassador to the Organization of American states as well as the U.S. Coordinator for the III Presidential Smmit of the Americas, the gathering of the 34 elected heads of state in this hemisphere held in Quebec City in april 2001. He also served as Executive Director of the first Summer of the Americas, ehld in Miamia in December 1994. His professional experience includes the President’s Advisory Board on Trade, Chairman of Hispanic Council on International Relations, Council of American Ambassadors, National Association of Corporate Directors, Miami Mayor’s International Council – Vice Chairman, President, Business Network for Hemispheric Integration, Senior Vice President of the Export-Import Bank of the U.S., Board of Directors of Rica Foods, Inc., represented the President of the United States as Special U.S. Ambassador to the inaugurations of the Presidents of Costa Rica, Venezuela, Colombia and Brazil, International Facilitator in 2002 for Peru National Agenda; INTernational Supervisory Team in 2002 for Ecuador Presidential Elections, Recipient – Order of San Martin from the Government of Argentina; President’s Representative to te Souther Governors Energy Board; Pam Aerican Development Foundaton Trustee; Councilman of the Vllage of Key Biscayne, Florida and he was honored as one of the nation’s top “100 Influential Hispitaics” by Hispanic Busienss Magazine. He attended the University of Madrid, Spain and recieved a B.A. from Columbia University in New York. Ambassador Laurero also attended Georgetow University Law Center in Washington, DC.
