Ian McDonald, CFA is a Principal of Pequot Capital Management, co-portfolio manager of the firm’s mortgage strategy and responsible for covering mortgage products and the financial services sector for the core global strategy. Mr. McDonald joined the firm in 2003. Previously, Mr. McDonald was an Associate at Fox-Pitt, Kelton where he covered the specialty finance industry. Prior to that, Mr. McDonald was an investment officer for Bethlehem Steel Pension Trust. Mr. McDonald graduated with a B.A. in Marine Transportation from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and received his M.B.A. in Finance/Accounting from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
