Sean McGroarty is a Partner in our Global Employer Services (GES) group. He has more than 20 years of Canadian and U.S. expatriate tax experience managing and coordinating the worldwide expatriate engagements for large international corporations. He has also lectured on expatriate tax matters at training programs and conferences.
Sean is the Canadian National Leader for International Assignment Services. In this role, Sean is responsible for standardizing our processes, and deploying our people and technology across Canada to deliver quality services with great efficiency in all areas of the assignment life cycle.
Sean is a member of the Global Tax Transformation Team. Together with colleagues from around the world, Sean is designing and deploying a new GES Global Service Delivery Model.
Sean is also a member of the GES Global Technology Advisory Board. In this role, he ensures that our technology continues to meet the changing needs of our clients and our people.
Sean has many years of experience managing the tax implications of worldwide expatriate engagements for large multi-national corporations. Sean also consults with senior executives at these corporations, as well as a number of high-net-worth individual clients, with respect to cross-border income and estate tax planning opportunities. Sean is a Canadian Chartered Accountant (CA) and a US Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Sean holds a Masters in Accounting (University of Waterloo) and an Honours BA (University of Waterloo).
