Mr. Ross is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Direct Lending Investments, LLC.

Mr. Ross was an early institutional investor in fintech-enabled lending and has regularly served as a voice for the industry at some of the country’s largest fintech and lending conferences.  Prior to founding Direct Lending Investments in 2012, Mr. Ross served as President & CEO of several companies including ReserveAmerica, Razorgator, and FMW, each of which achieved improved financial performance under his leadership.  While at local advertising leader FMW, Mr. Ross first encountered the challenges and opportunities in extending credit to small businesses, overhauling the process by which approximately $50 million in credit was extended to more than 10,000 small business customers annually.

As an executive with experience both in building companies and managing assets, Mr. Ross has focused his leadership energies at the General Partner on building an institution that can continue to scale as it gains increased attention from investors.  Companies he previously led ranged in size from 140 to 500 employees and were often borrowers facing both bank and non-bank lenders.  These experiences shaped Mr. Ross’s approach to recruiting and developing human capital, and to building an organization on strong foundations based on client-centric values.

His early business experiences also include leading a product management team at Ticketmaster, where he received two patents for Ticketmaster Auctions.  He began his career at Mercer Management Consulting (now Oliver Wyman) where he worked for a variety of clients including United Airlines, Bank of America and AOL.  He left Mercer to join MediaOne’s newly formed Strategy Group.

Mr. Ross graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Brown University with B.A.s in Economics & Sociology.
