In anticipation of selling his family’s Hartz Mountain Pet Food, the largest pet food company in America, Mr. Stern built an investment company to manage his family’s assets. His brother, Emmanuel, continues to run the family’s multi-billion dollar real estate development business. Currently, Stern Asset Management manages a very successful “timing” fund and a fund of funds. Mr. Stern is a graduate of Haverford College.
