George Appling

George Appling is a Passionpreneur. He owns and operates several companies that he has a deep and abiding love for; including a medieval theme park (Sherwood Forest Faire), a medieval summer camp, a mead (fermented honey) company, and a 501c3 that teaches mounted jousting games to military veterans.  He currently spends most of his time as the co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer of BoomCloud 360 which has created and patented a breakthrough audio software platform that dramatically improves sound quality for movies, music, games, and advertising on any speaker including: headphones, earbuds, Bluetooth speakers, soundbars, cars, TVs, even the tiny speakers built into phones and tablets. Previously George had three executive roles in the telecom industry: 1) Chairman & CEO of Personal Communications Devices ($1B+ in revenue), COO & Board Member of Brightstar (world’s largest cellphone distributor), and President of Xelibri business unit at Siemens Mobile Phones in Munich. George was also a strategy consulting partner at McKinsey & Company and Booz & Company. George holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School and two bachelors degrees from Texas A&M University.
