Gregory Moore

Greg currently serves as Vice President and Currency Strategist at Barometer Capital Management Inc., an independent wealth management firm located in Toronto. As a member of the Firm’s investment committee, Greg provides support to the Barometer’s portfolio management group with regards to currency risk across the firm’s portfolios, as well as authoring regular commentary on the firm’s investment outlook and portfolio positioning. In addition to his role on the investment committee, Greg manages some of the firms Private Client relationships as well as heading up Barometer’s European initiatives, with emphasis on business development within the Family Office and Private Bank space in Switzerland and the European Union.  Prior to joining Barometer Capital Management, Greg had a 23-year career with the Bank of Nova Scotia, most recently as head of the Bank’s Institutional Currency Risk Management desk. In this role, Greg provided currency risk management and policy counsel to some of Canada’s largest institutional investors. This included strategies to properly quantify currency risks within international portfolios and the adoption of policy initiatives designed to both mitigate risks and capture returns.  Greg is a CFA charter holder and graduated from McGill University with a BA in English Literature.
