Richard S. Abramson

Richard Abramson joined the Bernstein Investment Research and Management in 1979 as a Managing Director in the Financial Advisor department; a few years later he was instrumental in initiating the Institutional Advisory business, and was named a director responsible for marketing to large institutional plan sponsors. In 1998 he re-assumed his responsibilities as a Managing Director in the Financial Advisor department, and in 2002 he was named to his current position as National Managing Director of the Private-Client business. Previously, he was Vice President of NSR Asset Management Corp. from 1975 to 1979; Funds Evaluation Group consultant at A.G. Becker, Paribas, Inc. from 1973 to 1975; and prior to that an associate in the Corporate Finance department at Hayden Stone, Inc. He earned a B.S. from the U.S. Air Force Academy and an M.B.A. from Babson College. Mr. Abramson is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts. In his personal life he is Secretary of the Washington Institute for Near East Studies, Member of the Executive Committee of North Shore-Long Island Jewish Hospital, Financial Advisory Committee of Hadassah and Chm of Investment Committee of the Association of Graduates-US Air Force Academy.
