Sidney Hopps is the Chairman and CEO Jivana Biotechnology, having transitioned to the healthcare world after his time on Wall Street.Mr. Hopps brings to Jivana over 18 years experience in international financial markets in equities and equity derivatives, participating in IPOs, secondaries, and PIPEs, working in New York, Chicago, London, and Paris. Mr. Hopps spent many years working with biotechnology companies in the public markets while at UBS and First Albany Corp.  Previously, Mr. Hopps was a partner in Global Diversified Fund Management, a multi-strategy hedge fund based in Stamford, CT Mr. Hopps is responsible for developing the firm’s legal and regulatory pathways, capital raising, drug delivery technology alliances, managing pre clinical trials, and takes an active role in designing viral vectors suitable for delivery of Jivana’s payload.
